Steve Huber
(aka DJ STEEZ)

Steve Huber is the founder of Steez Productions, a music production company offering DJ services, live music entertainment, and other music services. Steve is a Juilliard graduate and former student of world-renowned violin pedagogues Dorothy DeLay and Sally Thomas. After a successful career as a full-time member of such orchestras as Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfonica do Estado de São Paulo, and, as concertmaster, Orquestra Filarmonica de Lima, Steve relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a more diverse career. Since his move, he has also acted as concertmaster for Brentwood-Westwood Symphony, Huntington Beach Symphony, Culver City Chamber Orchestra, Center Stage Opera, Valley Opera & Performing Arts, Hour of Power Orchestra, Orchestre Surreal, Golden State Pops Orchestra, Dream Orchestra,  Long Beach Chorale & Chamber Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Classic Rock Orchestra.

 

Throughout his career Steve has performed or recorded with a diverse array of artists and composers including Kid Cudi, Keith Emerson, Quartet San Francisco, Tina Guo, Julio Andrade, Santino, and Susana Baca, among many others. 

 

Steve often played in recording sessions for TV, film, or video game music in studios such as Capitol Studios and Warner Bros., or remotely from his home studio as well.

 

As a composer, Steve's compositions have been performed by the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony, Key West Symphony, ETHEL String Quartet, Del Gesu Strings, and the Music at the Mission Chamber Players. His arrangements have been performed by such artists as Salim-Sulaiman, Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival Players, Quartet San Francisco, Classical Concert Chamber Orchestra, Duo Renard, Street Symphony, and the Central Band of the Royal Canadian Forces. He has also composed music for the  "Shorty & Morty" short film series, the webisode series "Compton Abbey", and the musical "Pot! The Musical".

 

Steve has also arranged music and contracted musicians for corporate events, weddings, music festivals, and international tours.

Steve performs regularly as a member of  the Pirates Charles, the Hutchins Consort, Celtic Camerata, and the Music at the Mission Chamber Players, for whom he also teaches as  faculty for "Chamberfest", a summer chamber music festival based in Fremont, CA. As a DJ/musician Steve spins under the name "DJ Steez", and his most current projects include developing concerts and an album for his new group "Rocktet" and performing with his wife on Facebook Live on the "Steve and Shelby Show".
